Well Mark, you are the über-reviewer! An honorable distinction.

This is great news from Crossway. Releasing new editions of this Bible (already!) indicates a hopeful future for this format.

I just ordered a black trutone today, but these look quite smart. If I'd have known they were coming out I probably would still have preferred to get the black rather than wait.

I just received my personal size ESV with a black trutone cover and completely agree with your review! It is an outstanding Bible. I own several ESV's, both genuine leather and trutone and find that I prefer the trutone cover as the genuine leather seems to be very stiff and cardboard like. Thanks for the great review and for the heads up about the new covers.

"Concerning the request for a calfskin edition of this Bible, you shouldn’t expect one this year (2008)."

Hello Brother,

Just came across your blog. And I thought I was nuts over Bibles...? This site is absolutely fantastic! At least I know what to get from Christmas and my birthday :D :D Keep it going, Bro.

Thanks,

D. Kofi Adu-Boahen
